I’ve known Ramon for over 25 years we were students together. Ramon is not only an excellent Martial Artist he is a great person. He has an excellent way with adults and children and provides a challenging and safe place to learn the sport he is so dedicated to. Started practicing at NJJ in late February 2022. After more than a couple of months my experience has been excellent with a fantastic group of guys all looking to learn and share their experience practicing judo. Sensei Ramon Hernandez and his family of master judokas have provided very valuable coaching for me to feel comfortable getting back into this sport. Being at an older age and trying to stay healthy is a challenge but sensei Hernandez is very diligent on keeping people within their physical limitations an easing you into the techniques. Overall the benefits have not only been physically but also mentally. My job is in a very high stress environment and I am pretty sure that the discipline and focus required to learn and practice this martial art have contributed to a balance in my approach to problems both personally and professionally. Would recommend this dojo and sport to anyone wanting to improve their mental and physical conditioning.

My 5yr old son loves NJ Judo. Ramon is great with the kids. It's a great workout physically and mentally. Looking forward to continuing as he gets older.
